Nicki Minaj’s Mom and NYC Doctor Offer Free Plastic Surgery to Abuse Victims
New York, NY – May 14, 2023 – Carol Maraj, the mother of rapper Nicki Minaj, and a prominent New York City-based plastic surgeon are teaming up to offer free reconstructive surgery to victims of abuse.
Maraj, herself a survivor of domestic violence, is passionate about helping women reclaim their bodies and start anew. With the help of her partner, a top-rated plastic surgeon, she is offering a range of surgical procedures to women who have been victims of abuse.
“I know firsthand the impact that abuse can have on a woman’s self-esteem and self-worth,” Maraj said. “By providing free reconstructive surgery to survivors of abuse, we hope to help these women feel beautiful and confident in their own skin once again.”
The surgical procedures being offered include breast reconstruction, scar revision, and facial rejuvenation, among others. The program is being run in partnership with the Manhattan-based Lenox Hill Hospital, and is available to survivors of any form of abuse.
